DESCRIPTION:Tuesdays 2:30 pm-4 pm EST In-Person at The Vermont Wellness Collaborative (125 College St.\, 3rd floor) and on Zoom. \nThe Hearing Voices group upholds a fundamental belief that there are many ways to understand the experience of hearing voices and other unusual or extreme experiences.  We seek to utilize this alternative approach to coping with emotional distress that is empowering and useful to those with lived experience or mental health challenges\, and does not start from the assumption that we have a chronic illness.  We are a peer support group that seeks to build mutual understanding about voice-hearing and other phenomena common to having lived experience or mental health challenges.  We hope to empower each other through sharing our stories and those strategies and coping skills that have benefited us on our journeys. \nEmail pvcc@pathwaysvermont.org with any questions.

Rooted in psychiatric survivor organizing and disability justice\, Mad Pride challenges stigma\, centers our voices\, and demands real change — not just awareness.” \nLearn more here: https://madfreedomadvocates.org/vermont-mad-pride/ \nInformation about this year’s Mad Pride: \nLOCATION: First Unitarian Universalist Church (UU Church)\, 152 Pearl St\, Burlington\, VT 05401 \nDETAILS: July 11\, 2026; March 12-1 PM\, Festival 1-3 PM \nMARCH: The March will begin at 12:00 PM at the UU Church\, where we will head down Church St\, and stop at City Hall Steps for a rally speech before returning to the UU Church for food and connection! \nFESTIVAL: From 1-3 PM\, enjoy free food and community connection! Activities include connecting with VT-based organizations\, creating collective art\, doing peer-led yoga\, and having intentional conversations with community members. \nCommemorative t-shirts will be available for the first 150 attendees\, with special opportunities to customize your shirt with screen-printed art by a mad artist. \nACCESSIBILITY: The event will take place outdoors in the shade and indoors. Masks will be available for participants\, with some indoor activities being mask-required in an effort to prioritize community care and accessibility for our mad\, disabled\, and immunocompromised community. ASL interpretation will be provided for the march and activities as needed. \nThere is a ramp and an automated door opener located on the east side of the building. Upon entering through this door\, you will find an elevator that will allow you to enter every level of the building\, excluding the Sanctuary balcony area. \nAll restrooms are accessible.
