Maura Collins is the Director of Policy and Administration at the Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA). She acts as a senior policy advisor on state and federal legislative matters and she manages the Agency’s research, communications, human resources, administration, and information technology departments. Maura serves as an advisor on state and local homeless and supportive housing work, is responsible for the Agency’s strategic planning, coordinates the state’s 450-person housing conference, and leads VHFA’s risk management team.
She has her Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Vermont and serves on UVM’s faculty, teaching a graduate-level Housing Policy course. In 2012, Maura was named one of Vermont’s Rising Stars, a listing by Vermont Business Magazine of the top 40 professionals under 40 years old. Prior to joining VHFA, Maura worked at the Technical Assistance Collaborative in Boston, MA, as a housing consultant focused on people with disabilities and people who were homeless.
