New Look, Same Core Commitment

Introducing Pathways Vermont's new logo!

While our look has been updated, our work and commitment to program participants and community partners remain unchanged. Our mission is shaped by three core values: Choice, Connection, and Community. Since 2010, we have supported thousands of Vermonters across the state by providing mental health support that is rooted in these principles.

A very special thank you to Mark Crow and the team at Tenth Crow Creative for thoughtfully designing our new logo. They truly captured the essence of Pathways, and we couldn't be more excited to share this updated look with our community.

13 Years of the Vermont Support Line

For more than a decade, the Vermont Support Line has been about something simple and powerful: showing up for people in moments when they need connection most.

It’s people reaching out, and people answering with presence, compassion, and lived experience. That kind of work matters because it meets people where they are, when they need it most.

The Support Line reflects the heart of Pathways: choice, connection, and community, not as ideas, but as something we practice every day.

On March 18th, we celebrated 13 years of the Vermont Support Line. Since 2013, Vermont Support Line Operators have answered over 142,000 calls from our neighbors across the state.

To everyone who has been part of the Support Line over the years, and those continuing to carry it forward: thank you. Your passion and compassion have transformed the line into a 24/7 service that makes a difference in the lives of Vermonters every day.

Drive-Thru Lasagna Dinner Fundraiser

Thank you to everyone who supported the drive-thru lasagna fundraiser last weekend!

On March 27th and 28th, volunteers gathered at Faith United Methodist Church in South Burlington and prepared over 250 lasagna dinners, raising almost $5,000 for Pathways Vermont. This fundraiser was a beautiful reminder of the power of community and how much we can accomplish together.

We are incredibly grateful to Diane Chamberlain and everyone at the Faith United Methodist Church for being such fantastic partners in advancing our mission.

We would also like to express our immense gratitude to Shaw's, Hannaford, Olive Garden, Hilton Garden Inn, TownPlace Suites in Williston, Home2 Suites, and Common Roots, who donated food to make this event happen.

Family Supportive Housing Team

Meet the staff members of the Family Supportive Housing team!

"Hi - My name is Chelsea, and together with Desiree, we make up the Family Supportive Housing team here at Pathways. I’ve been with Pathways for almost a year and a half, and Desiree recently hit her one-year mark. Outside of work, Desiree loves spending time with her family, and I enjoy spending time with my children, reading, and attending hockey games.

Our work is focused in Franklin County, where we support families with finding and maintaining housing. As Service Coordinators, our goal is to work collaboratively with agencies and community partners. We provide resources and support to participants to help them gain various life skills and access resources that lead to permanent housing and a positive quality of life. We work collaboratively with the participant and their family, community partners, and complete applications to help the participant find a voucher or subsidized housing and establish connections to resources.

A typical day for us can vary. We start every day with a one-hour planning meeting, and then we are out in the community, identifying and building relationships with landlords, completing and submitting voucher applications, and communicating with community partners to support our clients.

When I think about why we do this work, one family's journey really stays with me. We had one client who had actually worked with Pathways through different programs. This client had many criminal charges and Department of Children and Families involvement, but they met with me every week and never gave up trying. This person had been experiencing homelessness for several years, and they are now able to give their child a stable home and life. Watching this person get reunited with their son is why I do what I do.

This work can be difficult, but the one thing that keeps both of us coming back is the support system we have within our team in Franklin. Also, having even a small moment with a family that brings them hope makes us want to show up every day for those heartfelt successes with our families. We believe in this program wholeheartedly, and the way it supports our families. Without the team behind us every step of the way, we would not be able to do what we do: bring hope to families' lives during a difficult time."

A Movement for Mental Health

This May, during Mental Health Awareness Month, Vermont businesses are coming together to raise awareness and funds that will support our programs and services.

This fundraiser runs from May 1st to May 30th, and Pathways Vermont invites local businesses to participate in their own way at any time during May.

We are so thrilled to share that our current participating businesses include Club Pilates Williston, Brandon Yoga Center, and The Vermont Comedy Club! Club Pilates has partnered with Pathways for the past two years, and we are thrilled to continue this partnership. Stay tuned for more information on how you can join the movement this May.

We also wanted to extend our sincerest appreciation to our current sponsors: Community Bank, The Kinney Drugs Foundation, National Life Group, Pacto Medical, Blind Tiger, and the UVM Medical Center. These wonderful sponsors are helping to shape this event, and we are so grateful for their support.

Laughter Yoga & Mindfulness Meditation

Join Edward from our Peer Support Center on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month from 2:45 pm to 3:45 pm for Laughter Yoga, and on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month for Mindfulness Meditation at 74 Main St in Burlington and on Zoom!

Both of these group offerings take place in a beautiful yoga studio, providing a space for relaxation, quiet reflection, and connection to community.
