For more than a decade, Pathways Vermont’s Soteria House has offered a compassionate, community-based alternative to hospitalization for Vermonters experiencing an extreme mental health state. Since 2015, the program has demonstrated the impact and promise of a supportive, person-centered approach to mental health. Soteria House is now entering a new chapter: moving into a permanent home designed with intention – to promote healing, support autonomy, and foster connection.
With $3.1 million raised from our incredible community, construction is in progress at a space tailored to the program’s distinctive approach and long-term goals. We are so pleased to share photos of our progress.
This process has been a collaboration between many organizations and individuals, and we are so grateful to have such a fantastic team leading this project. We want to take a moment to recognize the work of Jenny Johnson, Director of Property Development. Jenny’s work on this permanent home for Soteria has brought us to where we are today. In addition, we would like to thank the organizations and people listed below, all of whom have been key to the progress and funding of this project.
